Numerous celebrities have been running their own giveaway in Nigeria and the Nwokos did not disappoint when it got to their turn.
The orphanages they visited received items including bags of rice, gari, detergent, spaghetti, vegetable oil, noodles, beverages, napkins and toiletries, among others.
The orphanages visited include the Destined Children’s Orphanage in Kado, Heritage Home Orphanage in Gwarinpa and Hope for Survival Orphanage in Maitama Extension.
At two of the orphanages, the philanthropic couple promised them a monthly stipend of N500,000, whilst the third received a cash gift of 1m naira.
“This reality of the current lockdown is that many are going to bed hungry every night- but not these babies, not these kids. They will have something to eat tonight and beyond the lockdown,” Nwoko said after the donation.
