5. Pat Attah
Nollywood actor Pat Attah was one of the actors in the 2000s who brought romance alive on our screens.
He starred in movies like; Jealous Lovers, Love From Above among others. In 2011, we heard that Pat has given his life to Christ. He flew Nigeria to Germany and nothing was heard about until 2018 when he dropped a song titled ‘Sunshine’.

6 Sam Dede
Veteran Nollywood actor and producer, Sam Dede is one of the bigwigs in Nollywood.
He is remembered for movies like Issakaba, Ibgodo, Mission To Nowhere and others. The Nollywood icon has been off our screen until in 2019 when South Africa xenophobic took over the entire media, Sam Dede production shot another movie titled ‘Xenophobia Attack’
Commenting about his absence in the Nollywood Industry he said;

I honorably accepted the appointment as the Director General of Rivers State Tourism Development Agency (RSTDA) three years ago. That was one reason I have been away from the movie industry. I have just one more year to finish my tenure as D-G of RSTDA and then, I will return to the movie industry, stage and school.
7 Charles Okafor
Charles Okafor ventured into Nollywood 24 years ago, in 1996. He was a sensation in movies such as Domitilla, Computer Girls, Abuja Boys and so on.
He officially announced in 2013 that he is veering off the mainstream acting for human advocacy acting which addresses social vices
He said;
I’ve been lying low for a while because I diverted into Advocacy and human-angle films as a consequence of my new found faith. I’m still a career actor and a filmmaker but I am mindful of the scripts I do.
