It’s almost as if the gods are looking out for Ebony Reigns.
Somehow, it looks like for the 2nd successive year since she won Artiste of the Year posthumously, the VGMA Awards might not name her successor – or at least be able to do it on time.
Last year’s awards ended before a new artiste of the Year could be named because Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy decided to be kids and started a fight.
This year, it looks like the coronavirus pandemic is going to stop the awards again, or at least postpone it beyond May, making Ebony start a 3rd consecutive year as Artiste of the Year.
All this has made her father, Starboy, a very happy man. In fact, he laughed with glee when talking about the VGMA not happening on schedule.
“It means the Queen will still be the occupant of the seat, hence reigning for 3 consecutive years, there is no two ways about that, the Queen Nana Hemaa Ebony still reigns,” Starboy said on the pandemic stopping all public gatherings.
“Hahaha, I am glad it’s happening this way though, I must admit that I am highly glad, hehehehe” he added.
