The has become necessary as all counties tighten their bid in controlling the spread of COVID-19.
Billionaire Femi Otedola announced the move on his social media page.
“Cacovid begins the race to accelerate testing, save lives and provide succour: The Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID) – chaired by CBN governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, with Messrs. Aliko Dangote, Sola Adeduntan, Folorunsho Alakija, Jim Ovia, Tony Elumelu, Segun Agbaje, Herbert Wigwe, Abdulsamad Rabiu and Femi Otedola as members – has stepped up its mission in the fight against coronavirus in Nigeria.
And the first phase to outlive this pandemic, God willing, begins with the setting up of 6 world-class isolation centres across the nation (in Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Sokoto and Maiduguri). The well-equipped isolation centres are almost ready (check Kano in the pictures).
The construction of mobile isolation centres in 30 states kick-starts the second phase. These centres, with adequate human and material support, will soon start attending to compatriots who show symptoms.”
