Nigerian singer Simi has lamented over the fact that Nigerians have to beg for everything before the government thinks of supplying them with that.
Reacting to the current situation of being locked down without electricity, the singer lamented over the attitude of the government waiting for people to start talking and begging before some essential needs are provided.
Taking to her twitter handle, she vented her anger on president Buhari quizzing why he can’t give his people light even in this situation, adding whether they have to beg for it too.
She later asked the president to have empathy on his people and try to meet at least 20% of the people’s needs especially with the basic amenities.
She wrote “Why can’t they give people light? Why do we need to beg for everything? @MBuhari” “Please. Meet the people halfway. Or at least 20% of the way. It’s hard to have it this hard. Please. Empathy. @MBuhari“
