Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has reacted to actress Jackie Appiah’s Claims of not needing money before educating the public on the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
Recall Shatta Wale in an interview on 3fm claimed if the government wants to engage his services he has to be paid after the minister of information noted that there would be the need for celebrities to become COVID-19 ambassadors but won’t be paid.
Jackie while reacting to Shatta’s claims of government following tradition before engaging him as an ambassador said she doesn’t need to be paid before educating the general public on COVID-19.
According to her, she sees that as part of her social responsibility therefore there’s no need for her to be paid before giving back to society.
Shatta has also reacted to Jackie’s claims asking her not to come and cry or beg in future when she gets sick and doesn’t have enough to cater for herself.

Adding that he asking the president to follow tradition doesn’t mean he only loves money but rather he just wanted the president to realize that those in the entertainment industry are also business people.
Speaking in a recent interview on TV3 he noted that some of his colleagues and predecessors who failed to acknowledge their craft as business end up begging in old age or even when they get seriously ill because they weren’t able to save much.
