Even in this crisis where one doesn’t know how the day will end not to talk of how tomorrow will be, leaders of Nigeria, Lagos state government are still thinking of pocketing money meant to help it’s citizens.
As part of measures put in place by the Nigerian government to curb the spread of coronavirus, some part of the country has been locked down including Lagos state.
The Lagos state government in trying to help decided to give those in the affected areas some ‘relieve materials’ which will help them survive the lockdown for a while.
But to the surprise of many, the ‘relieve items’ can’t even take care of the people for just a day not to talk of going down to two weeks. Singer Yemi Alade while reacting to that lambasted the government as she expressed how disappointed she is in them.
The singer quizzed why a family of 6 will be given 3 loaves of bread expected to survive on that for almost two weeks. She went ahead to dare the government to make sure they take all their money to heaven.
She posted on her twitter page “Relief Package 3 loaves of bread for 6 families. The government should make sure they can take their money to heaven, because this is so disappointing.”
