Dancehall King Shatta Wale after shaming the telcos of Ghana for keeping prices too high during this period has turned his eyes onto South African pay-tv operators DSTV.
If there is one company operating in this country which takes customer feedback less seriously than MTN, it just might be DSTV Ghana.

They recently actually tried increasing their subscription fee, their 3rd increase in just about 2 years, before the pandemic forced them to suspend the planned increase for now.
Despite the loss of live sports, which is a major reason young men in particular patronize their services, and the fact that coronavirus has caused economic issues for consumers, DSTV has made no effort to financially reduce the load on their subscribers.
They are not alone in that though – no Ghanaian company has made any effort to show they understand we live in trying times.
Shatta Wale has been calling out these companies for their callousness.
First, he slammed the telcos for not reducing data charges and has now turned his eye on DSTV.
He called on them to reduce their subscription fees in these trying times.
He also later retweeted a post from Bridget Otoo calling for them to even go further by suspending fees for at least a month.
As someone who frequents the DSTV Facebook page a lot, I can tell you a lot of their subscribers are of a similar mind.
They’re not going to listen, of course.
