Ghana Armed Forces have deployed their squad into the various locations to be under lock down in Ghana, a video confirms.
In the video circulating on social media, military persons in uniform were seen in the Kumasi township readying themselves to make sure no one breaks the lock down rule.

On March 27, 2020, President Akufo-Addo announced a partial lock down in greater Accra and greater Kumasi municipality to curb the spread of COVID-19.
In light of the above directive, OPERATION COVID SAFETY was launched by the Ghana Police , Ghana Navy, Army and Airforce to help enforce the lock down.

DCOP Gariba assured in a press briefing that no citizen will be harmed in this joint operation and pleaded everyone adhere to the rules of the President to avoid any inconvenience.
“It is humanitarian operation, not a war. We are not going to intimidate anybody. We are going to support to achieve the overall objective of the president of Ghana” he said.
