The coronavirus has entered the UK Royal House – Charles, the Prince of Wales and heir apparent to the throne, has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Crown has announced that Prince Charles has contracted the viral COVID-19 disease.
At 71, Prince Charles is firmly in the risk zone for the virus, but the statement announcing his infection says he “remains in good health”,
His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall was also tested but was negative.
“In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.” the statement added.
The virus has spread to all continents and is causing havoc among Europe’s major economies – from Italy to Spain and the U.K.
In response to the growing threat, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has instituted a lockdown of the country, with people only allowed to leave the house for the most essential of needs.
