She’s not just a singer. Tiwa Savage is a citizen and has made her views known over the handling of the coronavirus.
According to Tiwa, the Nigerian federal government is not handling the disease well by allowing people to enter the country without screening them for the virus.
Nigeria recorded its 3rd case of the coronavirus on Tuesday, also from someone who recently travelled outside.
In light of that, Tiwa Savage complained that the government is allowing people to still enter the country without being checked.
“Why are we not closing our borders before it gets too worse,” she wondered.
“I understand we can’t stop citizens from returning but we can test and possibly isolate for 14 days instead of running the risk of letting it spread in the community”.
The virus at the moment is spreading dangerously and African countries who continue to allow people to travel in and out freely might end up having their own pandemic soon.
