Whilst the coronavirus is on the verge of breaking out in Ghana with 7 cases so far, 3 citizens have already died of the ailment.
The three all died in Europe, the epicentre of the pandemic according to the World Health Organization.
Two of the Ghanaian citizens who died were in Italy with another one in Denmark.
Foreign minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway announced this tragic news Wednesday in an interaction with the media outside Parliament House.
Asked what government would be doing to evacuate other Ghanaians in Europe, she said there are no plans to do so since the situation isn’t ‘critical’.
She however advised Ghanaians in Europe to be careful and take all proper precautions.
Whilst Europe has been the hardest hit by the virus in recent weeks, Africa is now becoming a hotbed as well with new cases popping up every single day.
