A shock was sent through the people of Nigeria on Sunday, March 15th, after a deadly explosion occurred in the Abule Ado area of Lagos state.

At least 17 people have been confirmed dead and 25 injured in the explosion, which happened when a truck hit some gas cylinders in a gas processing plant.

50 houses in the area were razed down and the principal of a nearby school died. Students of the school, Bethlehem Girls College, were trapped in the burning wreckage of their school and had to be rescued.

Details are now emerging of some of the victims of the explosion and it’s really heartbreaking.

Turns out a young couple just set to begin life were stuck in the explosion, dying instantly.

Making their story more tragic is that they were expecting their first child!

A friend posted their photos on social media and it’s causing immense sorrow as people mourn the loss of their beautiful future.
