‘I’m At The Top Because Of Hard Work And Not My Father’s Influence’ – Davido

Popular Nigerian singer Davido has disclosed that his hard-work is what has made him reach the top and not his father’s influence as many people think.

According to him, he had to work hard to reach the top after defying all odds in his family to become a singer. He said the norm in his family is to go to school and work for his dad after graduating.

However, he broke that by becoming a singer hence he has to work hard to get to where he is now in the music industry. He also recounted on how he went broke at a particular time.

He said though his father has played some key roles in his life and career his wealth has no influence on his musical career. Adding that most rich kids don’t like working because of their parent’s wealth, but not in his case.
