Lilwin And Funny Face Are Terrible Actors and Unfunny Comedians

Published by

It is generally accepted that comedy is subjective but at times what is bad is bad regardless of one’s personal perception.

Kumawood actor and king of insults Lilwin in a recent interview accused footballer Emmanuel Adebayor’s personal entertainer Funny Face of receiving undeserved awards in Ghana. It seemed the actor was joking but his comments in the interview with Zion Felix has escalated to something else with Don Little and Sandra getting involved in the “beef”.

The title that these two actors are fighting over shows the lack of real talent in the current movie and TV scene.

Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lilwin is an unfunny character, especially if one has the slightest level of sophistication. In one out of every dozen movies will one genuinely find him funny and even that he has to rely on the great acting of Akrobeto or Nana Ama McBrown to pull that off.

A typical scene with Lilwin includes a shouting match filled with insults with the other actors or unrealistic, overdramatization and overacting. Granted one can blame the directors and scripts handed to him but he cannot be fully absorbed from it. For those that think it is untrue, do watch the music video of Samini’s song Obra.

Funny Face aka Ataa Papa is only funny when he is dancing, take that away and his whole gimmick falls apart. His acting career started off better than Lilwin but he just descended into mediocrity.

His show with Bismark, called Cow and Chicken is probably one of the worse things one can subject themselves to. The comedy was terrible, and the show constantly tried to aim for the cheapest laughs. When was the last time you found the funny in a man dressed as a woman? Bismark and Funny Face both dressed as women in the show to score some cheap points.

One comedy actor whom these two can learn something from, even though he is a one trick pony is Kalybos. Maybe Lilwin and Funny Face should ask him for acting lessons.
