A Nigerian man has begged a family court in Lagos to grant him a divorce before he murders his wife.
According to the man, identified only as ‘Eze’, his wife beats him up and attacks him anytime he queries her unruly behaviour.
According to him he’s reached his limit and he knows if he retaliates he would commit murder – therefore the court should grant him divorce before he kills her.

“She is pushing me to the wall, if I should retaliate, I will kill her,” Eze told the court.
“I don’t want to kill her, so that I will not be charged to court for murder. The best option is for the court to end our marriage so that we can go our separate ways,” he pleaded.
“She always hits me with dangerous weapons which inflict wounds on me. Rachael fights and rains curses on me every day. She once deflated my car tyres and tore my clothes to pieces on several occasions.
“The last time, she picked up a standing mirror and threw it at me. The mirror landed on me and caused severe injuries on my leg. I have several scars on my body as a result of her assault on me,’’ he added.
To prove his claims of abuse, Eze showed injuries on his body to the court.
In her defence, his wife said her husband is lying but he actually has cheated on her which is why their marriage is in trouble.
