A Ghanaian footballer, Samuel Asamoah, received the shock of his life when he received a red card after showing off his shirt under his jersey with the inscription ‘Jesus Loves You’.
Asamoah received a second yellow card for removing his jersey, automatically leading to a sending off (red card).
The Ghanaian midfielder, playing for Sint Truiden in Belgium, scored a hattrick as they routed KAS Eupen in the Belgian Jupilar Pro League.
Having already received a yellow card, he received a 2nd yellow for taking off his shirt because he wanted to show off his ‘Jesus Loves You’ shirt.

After the game, Asamoah admitted he knew taking off the shirt would get him red carded but he was excited to score a hattrick so did it anyway.
