Nigerian artiste Burna Boy has finally spoken out after losing the Best World Music Grammy Award to African music legend Angelique Kidjo.

Kidjo after winning the award dedicated it to Brna Boy, a moment in which she said he is the future of African music.

“This is for Burna Boy, [he] is among those young artists [who] came from Africa [who] are changing the way our continent is perceived, and the way African music has been the bed rock for every [type] of music,” she said.

A grateful Burna Boy has now responded to Kidjo with love.

He took to social media to respond: “I love you forever @angeliquekidjo and every single person that rooted for me, I don’t take any of it lightly! The world get ready cause we’re all coming! #FOOTONNECK2020”
