Nigerian Maryam Sanda Sentenced to Death By Hanging for Stabbing Her Husband to Death In 2017

A Nigerian lady broke down in tears in court today after being sentenced to death by hanging.

Maryam Sanda has become a household name in recent times due to standing trial for the murder of her husband.

Sanda allegedly stabbed her husband Bilyaminu Bello to death in November 2017.

Bello’s status as a high profile politician – he was formerly a chairman of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) – has brought the case to national and international attention.
