Legendary Beninoise musician Angelique Kidjo stopped Burna Boy from grabbing his first-ever Grammy Award Sunday night.
Kidjo won the ‘Best World Music’ category for her album ‘Celia’ ahead of the ‘African Giant’.

In receiving her award though, she dedicated it to Burna.
“The new generation of artists coming from Africa are going to take you by storm and the time has come,” Kidjo said.
“This is for Burna Boy, [he] is among those young artists [who] came from Africa [who] are changing the way our continent is perceived, and the way African music has been the bed rock for every [type] of music,” she added.
