I Had Mild Stroke Last Year And Almost Died…- Dr. Sid Tells His Sad Story

We cannot remember the last time we heard anything song from Mavin Records artist Dr. Sid. Today, he has revealed why he has been away all this while and it rather a sad story.

According to Sid, he has really suffered and thought he would lose his life. He recounts how everything he was doing in his life was not working, on top of it all he had high blood pressure and suffered a mild stroke.

“I have had a period of real difficulty. I have had a period of financial difficulty. I was making music, nothing was working. I wasn’t getting booked at shows. Of my own doing, I didn’t have passive income. I didn’t have anything outside of music. I had health issues; I had high blood pressure and a mild stroke last year. I almost died.”

He adds that change can only start with us the individuals; “At that point, you think to yourself ‘What’s going on?’ I’ve struggled. In struggling you understand that the only person responsible for the change is you. Same thing with Naija as a whole. The issue with this country starts with individuals.”
