Twitter To Test New “Block All Replies” Feature To Curb Cyber-Bullying

Social Media company Twitter has announced plans to rollout a new function that will allow its users to control who replies their tweets or block replies completely.

The firm last year launched a feature which hides replies to tweets on command but this new function puts the power in your hand to allow who comments on your tweet.

This new feature along with others to be released soon is aimed at reducing the increase of cyber bullying on Social Media.

The new features, yet to be tested, will allow users to choose from four different settings for replies:

  1. Global – allow anyone to respond
  2. Group – allow replies from people the user follows or mentioned
  3. Panel – allow replies from people mentioned
  4. Statement – not allow any replies

Twitter made this known during a presentation at the annual Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas.
