Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah who is a senior Supreme Court judge has finally been sworn in as the new Chief Justice (CJ) who succeeds Justice Sophia Akuffo who descended from the throne on December 20, 2019.
He was appointed by the president of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and was vetted by a selected committee from Parliament. After he went through the laid down procedure, he has finally assumed the reigns as the new Chief Justice to succeed the outgoing CJ.

It is now recorded in the history books of this nation that, on January 7, 2020, a new CJ was sworn in at the Jubilee House, Accra.
Justice Anin-Yeboah, while the event was ongoing said that: “This morning, before all persons present, I have solemnly made three oaths for which I will be responsible to this country and to my creator.

“I want to assure the people of Ghana that I will continue to jealously guard the integrity of the judiciary as my predecessors in office have done,” he said.
The name Justice Anin-Yeboah now resonates with the 14th Chief Justice of Ghana and the first male Chief Justice in 12 years.
