Rev Obofour has hit out at greedy Ghanaian churches for turning marriage into a crazy and expensive ritual which is impacting the youth.
According to Obofour, marriage in the traditional sense is supposed to be between two families – meaning a couple should be seen as married once they hold traditional engagement.

Instead the church has added the white wedding which is very expensive, forcing many young people to suffer before getting married.
Obofour says this has rather encouraged fornication because young people cannot afford a white wedding.
The Founder and Leader of Anointed Chapel International added that weddings are a profit-making venture for the church which is why it’s held on Saturdays.
He called on churches to give the wedding offertory to the couple rather than taking it for themselves as they currently do.
