An ‘Old-timer’ in the Ghanaian Movie industry, Mr. Abeiku Sagoe, has expressed worry in the newly appointed board in the National Film Authority (NFA) saying, they are incompetent.
He made this statement when he was granted a LIVE interview with an Accra-based local media house. He refused to give names regarding those he thinks are not qualified to occupy those positions, despite being unhappy about some of the persons selected.

According to him, he is not speaking ill of them because he was not selected to be part of them, rather, he knows most of the personnel who were appointed by the president over the weekend have had similar appointments and did nothing really serious in the positions they occupied.
He remarked: “If you ask me if the 14 member governing board is competent, then I will tell you that, most of them are heads of various associations within the film industry and judging from their work there, they are incompetent and I hope they will perform better with NFA this time.
The NFA board consist of Madam Juliet Asante, the Executive Secretary, Madam Yaa Attafua, Zakaria Abdulai, Koffi Nartey, Akorfa Ejeani, Dora Darkwa-Mebsah, Dr. Samuel Anyetei Nai, Mr. Samuel Fiscian, Mr. Kofi Ohemeng Owusu, Rukiyaty Ankrah, Mr. Samuel Gyandoh and Mr. Ernest Boateng who were selected from the Ministry of Communication and the office of the Attorney General.
