Ghanaian Prophet Nigel Gaisie’s name has been spotted as one of the thousands of Ghanaians who owe student loans and have failed to pay.
The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) recently decided to publish the names of defaulters – former students who after years of completion have still failed to pay their loans.
This ‘naming and shaming’ is being done in the Daily Graphic, one day at a time.
According to new reports, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, who is the founder and leader of the True Word Fire Prophetic Ministries (TWFPM), is one of the former students who have defaulted on their loans.
His name appeared with student ID 10232543 from the University of Ghana City Campus.
Gaisie has made a name for himself, and lots of cash, since leaving school but apparently he can’t be bothered to go back and pay what he owes so upcoming generations can also have resources to borrow from.
And he’s supposed to be a ‘man of God’?
Anyway, administrators of the STLF claim since publishing the names, some of those involved have been coming around to make payments or talk about restructuring of their loans.
Here’s to hoping Gaisie does the right thing as well.
