A lot of people are confused─even Shatta Wale and his SM fans are all confused and jubilating that he has finally gained a GRAMMY nomination─but that’s a big fat lie.

The fact that he was featured on Beyoncé’s “Lion King” album which has been nominated doesn’t make him a nominee and this where the confusion lies.

Well, according to GRAMMY Awards, musicians such as Shatta Wale and others who participated in Beyoncé’s nominated album may apply for participation certificate with proof that they were “creatively or professionally involved in a GRAMMY-winning or GRAMMY-nominated recording”.

This is simple English which everyone including Shatta Wale and his SM fans should read and understand.

Again, Shatta Wale hasn’t been nominated for the 2020 GRAMMYS─the good news for him is that since Beyoncé’s album has been nominated, he also has the chance of applying with proof to get a participation certificate.
