The NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo has signed a provisional order with Boeing for three 787-9 Dreamliners on Tuesday during an Airshow in Dubai.
Aviation Minister Joseph Kofi Adda who signed the deal has revealed the government’s intention to launch a new airline.

According to him, the government will have 10% shares and 90% will be owned by the private sector.
In addition, the government has signed a deal with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to purchase six Dash8-400 aircraft, bringing the total to nine aircraft.

This is in line with the government’s plans to establish a national flag carrier which has been enrolled for some time now.
