Maintaining the status of being a celebrity in Ghana has become so fashionable that when one acquires it he/she will do anything to maintain it.

However, actress, TV presenter and event organizer, Abena Ghana had revealed that a lot of these celebrities wear fake designer products yet they pass them off as the original on social media to get accolades from their fans.

Speaking to Zion Felix in an interview, she queried how many Ghanaian celebrities would buy a Gucci bag for $500 rather they will get one of the same design but lower price.

She added that only a few of them could afford the original goods yet those who wear fake won’t ‘let sleeping dogs lie’ with their showmanship.

Abena Ghana also confessed that personally she does not check whether an item is original or not but go for what looks beautiful and fits her nicely and also commended the few who wear genuine products in maintaining their status/brand.
