Ghanaian actress Ama K. Abebrese has made history after her movie, ‘The Burial of Kojo’, landed Ghana’s first ever nominations for the Golden Globe Awards.
The movie has landed two extraordinary nominations – Best Motion Picture- Foreign Language and Best Director- Motion Picture.

This is a huge first for a Ghanaian movie!
The Burial Of Kojo follows the story of Esi, as she recounts her childhood and the tumultuous relationship between her father, Kojo and her uncle, Kwabena.
After Kojo goes missing on an illegal mining expedition with Kwabena, Esi embarks on a magical adventure to rescue her father.
It stars Cynthia Dankwa, Ama K. Abebrese, Joseph Otsiman, Mamley Djangmah, Kobina Amissah-Sam, Henry Adofo and Joe Addo, among others.
It was directed by Blitz Bazawule and produced by Blitz, Kwaku Obeng Boateng and Ama K. Abebrese.
