Dancehall king Shatta Wale has made it clear that he is never going to pay tithe to any pastor in his life ever again.
Speaking with Giovani Caleb on 3Fm, he said he uses the money he’s supposed to pay as tithe to help others, rather than giving it to a pastor who might use it for his own purposes.
“I pay tithe but not to any pastor, I now pay tithe in the form of giving to the random people I meet on the street, and I would continue to pay my tithe in this form but not to any pastor,” he said.
For some reason paying of tithe has become a big discussion in recent weeks, with some claiming it’s biblical and others saying it’s not.
Whichever way you lean, it’s easy to admit a lot of pastors these days are crooks so perhaps giving them a 10th of your income every month is not the best way to live your life; especially when they’re most likely already rich and you are struggling.
I rarely agree with Shatta on anything but here’s one where we can see eye to eye. Pastors are overrated.
