The Founder and Leader of the Anointed Palace Church, the rich and infamous Asanteman Obofour, has been invited by the Accra Regional Police Command to appear before them to assist in investigations into why weed was smoked in his church.
Weed, marijuana, tampi or ‘abonsam tawa’, is an illicit substance in Ghana and its use is bound to get you into trouble with the law.
After a video went viral of someone smoking it in his church, some Ghanaians started calling for Obofour’s arrest.
In the video, Obofour allegedly ‘delivered’ a young man from a weed addiction. In fact, controversy ensued out of that because the guy later claims he was paid by Obofour.
Well, he was invited by the police today to talk about the issue.
According to Graphic Online, when he was asked about what happened, Obofour claimed he was in the ‘spiritual realm’ and didn’t see anyone smoking weed in his church.
Typical errant nonsense from a preacher who would probably get away with it because he’s rich and famous.
If it was any ordinary Ghanaian, they’ll probably be in jail right now.
