A week or two ago, veteran highlife musician Rex Omar labelled Kofi Kinaata as just a good lyricist and not a good songwriter as people believe him to be.

He listed Amandzeba Nat Brew, OJ, Okyeame Kwame, Reverend Yawson, Akwaboah and Ephraim Amu as good songwriters and Kofi Kinaata has responded to that. According to Kinaata, Rex is entitled to his opinion and he is not going to give it minute attention.

Kinaata told Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen host, Osei Bonsu that “it is his opinion and he knows too much. My fans call me the Fante rap god, and he also has his opinions. I don’t want to talk about it. Ronaldo has speed, dribbles and all that but some say he’s not a footballer. That’s how I see it,” he said.
