5 Times Hunger Almost Killed Bandana Before He Became the 'Dancehall King' - PHOTOS

Once upon a time, current dancehall king with the cars, mansions and women, Shatta Wale, was a hungry little boy trying to make it in music with very little success.

Back in the day, when he was known as Bandana, Wale went through a lot; suffering to the extent there were days where he didn’t know what he’ll eat for supper.

Things got so bad Bandana had to take a break from music to find his way, before returning as the brash, loudmouthed and cantankerous personality known as Shatta Wale which has led to all his success.

Wale has gone from zero to hero – and as he marks his birthday today it is the best time to look back at those days when he suffered so much his bones were nearly showing through his body.
