Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie made history as he became the first-ever African rapper to win the “Best International Flow” award at 2019 BET Hip-hop Awards.
Sarkodie’s acceptance speech during the 2019 BET Hip-hop awards has been described by many as one of the shortest yet intelligent speeches by musicians on the BET platform.

In his short speech, he dedicated his award to his daughter, Titi, gave a shout out to Akon─apparently, to catch his attention for a collaboration and also urged all musicians and patrons to make Ghana their destination when coming to Africa.
He has been praised for putting Ghana and Africa out there during his short acceptance speech.
