After close to two decades of existence, Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s Sparrow Productions company has undergone a massive rebranding/diversification exercise to solidify the future of the company.
The company has been divided into divisions which would deal with different mandates in the world of video content.
The erstwhile Sparrow Productions, now rebranded to Sparrow Pictures, remains the movie production arm of the empire. Sparrow Pictures would focus on movies, television and other sorts of similar entertainment content.
Sparrow Studios, a new arm of the company, would be focused on corporate and commercial content. Sparrow Studios would be involved in creating tv commercials for corporate clients, corporate videos and branded content.
The final arm would be Sparrow Station, which would run their already existing streaming platform. Every single production Sparrow has ever produced is available on Sparrow Station for streaming.
The rebrand was announced at a press event held earlier today at the La Villa Boutique Hotel, where it was also announced that Sparrow Pictures is shooting a sequel to the Perfect Picture movie, titled ‘The Perfect Picture – 10 Years Later’.
After years of excellence in movie production led by Shirley, Ghana’s finest producer, Sparrow is moving into more spaces to create enough traction for the future of the company to be secured.
