A picture of a notice indicating that owners of public toilet facilities have increased the toilet fees from 50 pesewas to Ghc1.00 has gone viral on the internet.
This comes after the increment in utility tariffs and introduction of new taxes by the NPP-Nana Addo-led government.
The notice reads; “NOTICE. THE TOILET FEE WILL BE GHC1.00 ON THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER, 2019. THANK YOU!”
As to whether there is an iota of truth in the notice or not, we cannot confirm that but since prices of things have gone up as a result of the increment in utility tariffs, the notice making rounds on social media could be true.
