VIDEO: ‘Can I Be Your Side Boyfriend?’ – UG Lecturer Paul Kwame Butakor Begs Student

A BBC Africa Eye undercover investigation reveals how some Lecturers at the University of Ghana trap female students in the sex for grades game.

One Lecturer of the College of Education at the University of Ghana, Paul Kwame Butakor was caught up in the “sex for grades” exposé.

The Lecturer was caught up in the video begging a female student to be her side boyfriend for grades.

“Let me be your side boy, side guy…men have side chicks…I will not give you trouble…seriously I will not give you trouble…I will not give you trouble…I will not be a distraction to your life…let me be your side guy…”, Paul Kwame Butakor was caught repeatedly begging.

Paul Kwame Butakor interacting with the BBC undercover journalist who posed as a student in his office disclosed to her that his wife isn’t in the country and for that matter would love to be her side boyfriend.

“Maybe you’ll be my side and I’ll also be your side. Because me, I’m married…my wife is not in the country though…my wife is out of the country”, he said.

Exhibiting his tactics of getting into the pants of female students, Paul Kwame Butakor romantically said; “You look muwaah…how many guys have told you ‘You are beautiful’ today”.

However, Paul Kwame Butakor denied having tried to woo the BBC Undercover Journalist when BBC contacted him.
