Black Stars and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey‘s house in the Spanish capital Madrid was robbed last night.
According to reports, thieves hit the house at a time the player had travelled with his teammates to Moscow for a Champions League game tonight
Thomas’ domestic help was home at the time of the robbery. She reportedly initially tried to resist but submitted after the thieves pulled out weapons.
The house was ‘ransacked’, reports say, although exactly what was stolen is yet to be made public.
The Black Stars midfielder, one of Atleti’s best players, owns a house in Boadilla del Monte, a suburb of Madrid.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
Partey joins a long list of footballers in Spain who have suffered from burglaries including Casemiro, Jordi Alba, Geoffrey Kondogbia, William Carvahlo, Álvaro Morata, Karim Benzema and his Ghanaian colleague, Kevin-Prince Boateng.
