Ghanaian singer, Ofori Amponsah has rubbished claims that highlife music is dead.

Speaking in an interview with DJ Advicer on Happy FM, the legendary musician stated that the genre is very much alive, just that current generation have modernized it.

According to him, the likes of Kuami Eugene, King Promise have done pretty well keeping highlife alive with their new styles.
He said, “Highlife us not dead, new artistes Like Kuami Eugene, King Promise And Others Are Doing Highlife And They Are Doing It In A New Style But Its Highlife.
“The Music Players May Change From Time To Time But Highlife Remains The Basis Of Every Beat Behind Hit Songs.”
