My Parents Never Wanted Me To Do Music – Guilty Beatz

Music producer, Ronald Banful, popularly known as Guilty Beatz, has revealed his parents were not supportive of his chosen career – music production.

Speaking in an interview with JoyNews’ MzGee, Guilty Beatz said his parents thought he would not succeed with music so they tried influencing him to stop, however his passion for music production was too strong.

“No, you know African parent when it comes to music they are not 100 per cent, so obviously they saw the interest, they saw that I was trying to make beats…but they were telling me no, don’t do this, go and read your books but then the passion was too strong,” he said.

“I had to continue they were just telling me to do what I was doing in school. I was doing social works, and so they were saying ‘just do it’, ‘just do it’,” he added.

The music producer and sound engineer is now into singing and in known for his ‘Akwaba’ song.
