Ghanaian rapper, Awal Mohammed, simply known on stage as Awal, has said that his colleague rappers like Strongman, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur are ‘small boys’ in rap music and can’t rub shoulders with him.

In a recent interview with Celebrities Buzz TV, Awal said he made way before those ‘boys’ came into the game and can’t compare themselves to him. He also said when someone gets a break through, it doesn’t mean that person is better than another.

“Medikal, Strongman, Kwesi Arthur etc are in the same category below Sarkodie’s level. Ranking them with Sarkodie is like you are trying to disrespect big man. Those boys they no reach that level you understand? And they no be boys saf man go fit rock shoulders with, they no go fit rock shoulders with me.”
“This is Hip-Hop nobody is higher than anybody. You getting breakthrough doesn’t mean you are higher than somebody,” he said.
Awal hit spotlight after emerging 1st runner up at TV3’s talented kids 9years ago.
