Black Stars ‘general’ captain Asamoah ‘Baby Jet’ Gyan has agreed a move from Europe to the Far East to continue his rapidly deteriorating football career.
Gyan has left his current Turkish club Kayserispor after his agreed move to India.
“I am extremely excited to start this new chapter in my career,” Gyan said after the deal was confirmed.
“I have heard great things about NorthEast United FC and the Indian Super League and I am thrilled to be a part of it for the upcoming season. I am confident that we can better the wonderful season the club had last year.”
Gyan had numerous issues with his previous club with regards to paying his salary, to the extent that he once had to send debt collectors to seize equipment from their office due to money owed him.

This new move confirms the downward trajectory Gyan’s career has been on for the past decade, with India providing an even lower level of top tier football than his previous stint in Turkey.
