A group of angry Nigerian youth have taken to the streets to protest against our favourite Nigerian celebrity, Bobrisky.
The cross-dressing transgender, born Okuneye Idris, has become a sensation in her country. She’s one of the most popular celebrities on Instagram and lives a life of luxury, real or imagined, that everyone else can be envious of.

However, the act of her existence seems to have offended the youth of the country, who took to the streets to protest.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) have warned Bobrisky that she should stop promoting the LGBT lifestyle or vacate the country.
Over 500 members took to the streets of Abuja to protest and released a statement outlining their motives.
“The NYCN today, September 18 2019 declares Bobrisky as persona non grata , as he is a man (not a woman),” the group said.
“For national interest, we call on the ever-conscious, ever ready, combatant Nigerian youths and comrades of like minds to, without fear or favour, kick out Bobrisky and his likes wherever they come across them. Nigeria is not a place for LGBT and we shall fight this to the end.”
Once again, the collective power of the energetic youth of a country is being wasted chasing the wrong target. Bobrisky, who’s hurting no one, is the one under fire whilst the politicians chopping all the money are left in peace to do whatever they want.
Focus your energies on the right people, same applies in Ghana as well.
