Ghanaian rapper Edem has aired his views about his song “Toto” becoming a hit despite it being was banned on radio as it was classified as a profane song.
The artist wrote on his Instagram page that even though the media never played the song, the youth embraced it and made it popular throughout the country.
“RADIO NEVER PLAYED THIS SONG COS THEY CLAIM ITS PROFANE…TV DIDNT PLAY IT EITHER…WELL F$@K EM..THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN….#GBEVUNATION#VRMG#GOGETEM,” he wrote.
“Toto” is a Ga word which literally means a woman’s v*gina and that makes the song not media friendly.
