Socrate Sarfo Attacks Obrafour For Saying There Is No Music Industry In Ghana

Ghanaian filmmaker Socrate Sarfo has expressed his disappointment in rap legend Obrafour for saying Ghana has no music industry.

Obrafour in a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz stated that there is no music industry in Ghana as the so called industry does not have marketing structure or revenue collection structure.

But speaking as a panellist on Dr. Cann’s show on Happy Fm, the filmmaker slammed Obrafour for making a “loose” comment.

According to him, a musician like Obrafour who carries so much weight in the industry should be cautious about the things he says in the media as it can drive investors away.

 “The media carries the entire industry on its shoulders so it’s up to you to use the media wisely to make the public hunger and thirst for what the industry has to offer,” he said.
