At this point we have to start checking the brains of ladies who voluntarily decide to compete in a disgraced pageant which is rocked by at the very least one resignation per year due to this same unhappiness over demands made of the queens.
GhanaCelebrities.Com has been at the forefront of fighting to expose the rot at the pageant, yet every year new ladies line up to take part.
And invariably, every year there’s one, oftentimes two or more who discover the concerns of past queens had some merit and then decide to run for the hills themselves.
This year, the first runner-up of the pageant, Sarah Odei Amoani, has now decided to resign.
According to a Joy News report, Amoani has handed in her resignation to organizers of the pageant.

The reason for her resignation, Myjoyonline reports, is because she’s “unhappy with some demands required of her,”
Anyone who has followed the scandal at Miss Ghana over the years probably knows what these ‘demands’ are.
Her resignation comes barely two months after the grand finale of the 2019 pageant, held on July 6th.
Although she has handed in her letter of resignation, Joy News adds that Inna Patty is unwilling to meet her demands for an amicable dissolution of their contract.
Over the years, the Miss Ghana pageant has become more repugnant to right thinking Ghanaians as it is hit by scandal and resignation of its beauty queens year after year.
Last year, 2017 winner Margaret Dery announced her resignation from her position. Her first and second runners up, Marigold Frimpong and Priscilla Nana Akua Gameli also followed suit.
Miss Ghana 2010 – Stephanie Karikari, Miss Ghana 2015 – Antoinette Delali Kemavor, Miss Ghana 2013 – Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi and first-runner up – Margaret Kuma-Mintah – have all resigned after their participation in the pageant, most with sordid allegations against Inna Patty for trying to pimp them for money.
How much do you want to bet more resignations would hit this pageant in the coming months? You’ll make me a rich man if you bet against that happening.
