It is no news that RuffTown Records Signee Wendy Shay has not had it any easier since she made waves in showbiz. People could not deal with the fact that the late Ebony had sort of being replaced by her and got agitated occasionally with unnecessary shades and backlashes.
What we did not know is the fact that those attacks transcended the social media landscape. Wendy says she got death threats from people to even stop doing music. “I had death threats; people telling me all kinds of things like they will kill me if I do not stop the music if I do not stop being like Ebony. I can never be her and I got confused because I was never like her, I have never wanted to be like her,” she said.

“Ebony stood for Afrobeats, she was herself and did what she loved. That inspired me and I fell in love with her. I had wanted to meet her but unfortunately, she passed on. I was and I’m still a fan of Ebony,” she stated.
