South African musician AKA, who sparked outrage after appearing to support the xenophobic attacks in his country with a disturbing tweet, has now made a sharp u-turn.
In a new tweet, AKA now seems to be promoting unity.
It seems Burna Boy has slapped some sense into him with his threats.
Unhappy with the reactions his initial tweet drew, AKA has now called on other artists to stop the threats, claiming they need each other and that they should be leading their people.
“PLEASE!!! Can we STOP. We are going to make things worse for everybody on both sides. We need each other! … please. Can we stop. We are supposed to be leading our people,” he tweeted.
He should have known they’re supposed to be leaders before tweeting out a message which seemed to support the senseless violence.
