Gye Nyame Entertainment, a UK-based label has signed up promising Ghanaian actress Margaret Serwaa Adu-Asabre for two years.

The signing comes at a time when the actress is undergoing a personal branding process to add more value to her craft and brand.

During the event held at the Mendiata Hotel at Achimota, Mr. Abdullai Squire, a representative of Gye Nyame Entertainment in Ghana, said the label was pleased to work and manage the talent of the budding actress.

According to him, Gye Nyame Entertainment has been scouting for the best talents in Ghana for years and has followed the works of Miss Adu-Asabre for quite some time. Mr. Squire said Margaret has exceptional talent as an actress but hasn’t gotten the needed support to bring out the best in her.

“Ghana needs to watch out for this talented actress. She is extremely good but hasn’t got the needed support. We’ve followed her works for quite a while and we are blown away by her acting skills. Today, we are signing her to Gye Nyame Entertainment because we believe in her talent so Ghanaians should be on the lookout for her,” he added.

The actress, whose credits include Evil Soul, My Story, Fatal Lust, Grave Yard, It Takes Two, Heartbreak Hotel among others, said: “I am extremely happy to be a part of this great label.”

She thanked the label boss, Mr. Kwaku Boateng, for believing in her talent and investing in her career. Miss Margaret Adu-Asabre promised not to let the label down, but to work hard.

At the end of the event, Gye Nyame Entertainment handed over a GHS 10,000 cheque to the actress.

The ceremony was supported by Kasapreko Alomo Bitters.
